any idea's on how to remove the lane changing function? you know where it flashes three times!?

it bugs me! lol!

think you need that VAG com program . or your dealer can do it for you.

i found it annoying at first, but now got used to it.

im used to it, it can be handy on the motorway...but i like flashing mine backs nd forward to thank people.
i do it in the van all the time nd now iv got tints i cant wave thanx nd now i cant flash the indicators, so im branded ignorant! lol

so u mean plug into the comp nd take the programme off? can vw do it for me? best be free like!

If I remember correctly, the've charged others half a day's work for what amounts to a ten minute job. There are a number of other features they can enable and disable with VAGCom, though, so if you are going to go to VW, make sure you get them to do some work at least

what other work can they do then? i dont really know what the VAGCom does

vag com isnt the same as what vw use, they use the vas 5051 computer.

theres hundreds of things they can do eg. settings for turning the lights inside on or off when you get in or lock the car, send up the windows when you lock the car, how the indicators flash when you lock the car or change lanes etc, if the horn sounds when you lock the car, plus so many more, including how the electro hydraulic power steering feels!!

vag com is a very basic form of this computer and can only really access the fault memory of the control units and erase any faults.

Yeah I know what you mean, it is annoying! I use my hazards to thank people but need to stretch across to reach the damn thing. Its like the furthest thing away on the dash! (why did VW do that anyway?) Still I wouldnt want to get rid of it completely I guess its just one of they catch 22 thingies!
