Polo Engine Types

Was looking at Autodata. Theres 4 engine types for the polo in the 2001 range.

AFK - 100bhp 99-02
AHW - 75bhp 99-02
APE - 75bhp 99-02
AUA - 75bhp 99-02
AUB -100bhp 99-02

Can anyone shed light on the any major diffrences in the engine types ?

BTW i have the 14.16v and its the AUA engine.

S has colour-coded bump strips and door handles. 1.4 S 16v has 14" alloy wheels. SE adds 14" alloy wheels, driver/passenger seat height adjustment, front fog lights, heater washer jets. 1.4 16v has lowered suspension, sports seats, 15" alloy wheels. GTI has climate control, chromed instrument surrounds, Xenon headlamps, colour-coded body kit, mesh grille, 15" alloy wheels, boot mounted CD changer, sports suspension and a electronic differential lock.

BTW i have the 14.16v and its the AUA engine.

The different codes usually indicate different versions of basically the same engine. So, stroke and bore usually don't differ, it's more about emissions, torque and RPMs. Therefore, you could have a '1.4, 75hp', but with three different codes.
