I'm still with v6.2. I know v7 beta has been out for a bit, but until it goes gold I'll stay with what I have

What are the advantages James?

well i havent had it long but so far i have found you can send these animations which pop up on the other persons screen ( they come out of the msn box) also you can send a person a nudge to remind them ur still there .

On my g/f lap top you can write messages free hand using the mouse but i dont seem to be able to do that. The format is slightly different just revamped abit. When the person signs in u can see there display pic in the pop up box. Thats about as far as i can see so far. im not sure if i would say they are advantages but just different :D

I used the beta for a while then it started crashing on me and slowing my laptop down so booted it off. Back using 6.2 and my mates can't 'nudge' me anymore!

Animations were cool though.

I've got the latest Beta and it interfaces with iTunes etc so that other people can see what you're listening to!!

I'm still using it - the version I've got comes with a native handwriting feature - which seems to have been excluded from more recent editions.

I still have the setup file if anyone wants it??

You can switch off nudges too - as I have - so annoying!!

i've got it, but not too keen

seems to run much slower
can't double click to send an i.m (little thing, but annoys me)
nudges get annoying
Deleted a load of my contacts when upgrading

think i may go back to the previous version

well they were hell ass annoying when ICQ had them SEVERAL YEARS AGO... want to wind someone up? nudge nudge nudge nudge.......

sticking with reliable, stable, simple 6.2 for now. 7 sounds like the usual MS add a number - add five mahoosive and arguable pointless features - but only tweak a couple of the existing ones - resource splurge but core item stagnation and non-fixing of errors.
