Budget for suspension set-up - help!

Post by funkyfatbeatz »

Hi Guys,

I have about £500 to spend on a good suspension
set-up for my 16 valver.

I want to have a good quality ride and good cornering,
it's just for road use and a bit of fun around the lanes :D

I've read that the Koni/Eibach combo is highly recommended
also FK coilovers. Anyone else recommend anything.

Has anyone changed their anti-roll bars too,
as I was possibly looking at getting some.

Thanks

Steve

Let me ask you this first: How low do you want it?

I found that KW coilovers have an awesome ride + handling when very low, but a harsh ride when set high. If you need to get low, get KW. If you're on a budget that won't allow the KW's, get some FK's, I hear these can go low and hanle + ride fine. If you don't want to go too low, get the Koni + Eibach or full Koni setup, which should be very good for sensible height

Thanks Alex,

That's the only bit I forgot to put.
I don't want to go too low as I have heard that
there are problems with rubbing etc.

Just a sensible 40mm to get rid of the agricultural
ride height and cornering :?

What about bushes, will new OEM ones do?
