I was searching on ebay for some VW items and came across this item (if you can call it that).

This is it.

For a nominal payment of Â£1.99 I will email you instructions on how to digitally display your actual speed of travel sent from your ECU as opposed to the erranous reading displayed on your speedometer with it's factory built-in percentage error.
You will also be able to display other varied ECU information and diagnostic features. This info includes accurate readings of Engine Coolant Temperature, RPM etc. This info is supplied free of charge.
No tools or equipment are necessary, it is activated/deactivated in seconds and is completely harmless to your car.

It's a scam. The info is readily available for free. You just push some buttons, apply the secret handshake and presto.

If I had climate control I'd probably know myself, but for now I'll let someone else tell you how it's done.

16 Speed in km/h

is that of the car, or of the fans/airflow/some other heating thing

cant think why vw would link the climate control up to the speedo, makes no sense
