sick of the polo

Post by mk3dave »

lately ive been forkin out so much money on the mk3 that its just not worth it any more. the amount im spendin on it i could aford decent new ish mk5 so thats what im after.
so, there'll soon be a few parts for sale on here coz im swappin it back to standard. dunno when this'll be happenin yet but just to see if anyones interested in parts (parts only as i'll probz trade the car in)

*'quiet revolution' backbox from jetex, only a couple of months of use
*40mm lowering springs. never used, still boxed.
*golf spi air box with k&n cone filter. practically brand new.

i'l let people know when im gettin rid off the parts.

quick question, would it be cheaper to get a loan for a car and pay that off or buy the car on finance?

cheers dave.

I'm bored of my GT too, but that's understandable after 5 years and next to no engine mods!

Time for a G40 transplant, the rest is too good to give up. 8)

If it's a money pit, get rid. I've been lucky that the only breakdown I've had is a head gasket. All the rest of the money I've spent on my GT is to do stuff I wanna do to it.

And yes, geefortaypower is on the cards here too!

Just over 142,000 and running really sweet too! Drove it to Manchester last weekend, I'd forgotten how much fun it is to drive! 8)

Bear in mind though it'll probably be supplied with a G40 inlet manifold when I sell!

Rob - your car will be super sweet with a G40! Not that it isn't already... just a G will be the icing on an already sweet cake. 8)

I'm soooooooooooooo bored of my Polo. Since giving up with my Golf, I have grown to miss having 160bhp+ under my right foot! I doubt that I'll have built my Golf VR6 within the next year, and I can't handle driving the polo as it is any longer.

when i get round to selling em i'll probably ask for about 50 or 60 quid.
i think thats fair considering i paid 90 and they've never been used.
