Newbie..
Newbie..
Sorry if this is in the wrong area , Found the site whilst I was browsing Google looking for mk4 polo's.. Not yet learning to drive but as soon as i've got enough money, I should be learning by next month or so
I'm 20 currently living in Derby and usually found on SheffCruise as I used to Rep for them, Plan on getting a mk4 Polo when i pass me test though and got quite few plans brewing
Re: Newbie..
Welcome to the boards!
I'm kinda new here aswell... usually on another board and use this board for general questions regarding my MkIV Polo. This site has been very helpful. Hope you find it useful.
The MKIV Polo is a good first car to get... simple, easy to drive and park etc etc. Quite spacious in the front, rear and the boot aswell.
So what kinda plans do you have for your Polo when you get it?

welcome!!
get a diamond black Polo, will look much moodier until you sort out your "wacky" paint job. Besides green cars are unlucky.
The key to the eurostyle look is to get the smallest diameter wheels 13"-14" but as wide as possible, then slam the car on its ar*e.
Remeber less is more, and oem+ will score major brownie points.
No big alloy racing wings either!

Hello!
now that's gonna cost!
In the meantime, get a diamond black Polo 6n, its a pearlescent paint so looks smashing when its all cleaned up and freshly polished
I'm with Alex on this one, House of Kolor make some awesome paints and are the way to go at the moment, if I had the cash, I'd be having some of their paint! The paint itself is only about £20-30 per litre but the labour and materials costs bump the price way up on some of the paint jobs. Recent show car feature I saw had 27 layers of paint - in this case seven coats of silver, ten coats of tangerine and ten coats of clear lacquerSpeedlaw wrote:If you're into weird paint, leave the Standox alone and check out House of Kolor. Much much nicer IMO, very rare as well.

I'm not really keen on big spoilers, my ex best mate's got Peugoet wings cut into his spoiler and at first it looked really well but now it doesnt suit the car as much,
House of Kolor's coporate webby can be found here. Bodyshops like R-Tec, Davlins, Ecosse and loads more stock the paint have the expertise to carry out a class job
Diamond black, well my GTi is diamond black:

Not a great pic (not freshly polished) but you get the idea! When it warms up a bit I'l polish the car and get some new shiny snaps
