Polo Cutting out on M25

Had a scary moment yesterday, travelling in the outside lane of the M25 at 75 and then the revs dropped to 0, hit the hazards and coasted to a halt across 4 lanes of traffic. All the electrics were still working. Had to crank the car over 2 times before it restarted and then managed to drive to my destination. Coming back I sat at 60 in the inside lane all the way.

Any ideas as to what this could be?

I've had the car 4 days!!

its a throttle body problem ive been told
my old mk4 had this and as i was slowing down to say, 30mph from 40, it will drop to o revs and lose powersteering and assisted brakes

my garage cleaned out the throttle body and it cured the problem...
