hi all,
My 1.4TDI 51REG has done 37,340 miles, it has only had 2 services to date, it is overdue for another service so i wanted to check what i should get done at the 37,000 service.
the last two services have only included engine oil, oil filter.
what are the guide lines for 37,000?? everyone is telling me it is a major service point?
im guessing oil filter, air filte, spark plugs, what else?
ta
37,000 miles service???
My TDi has just done 51000 miles and its had 3 oil changes and 2 major sevices since new, first of all, im sure you didnt mean spark plugs coz the Diesel has glow plugs, mine is still running the original glow plugs at 51000, it is basically, engine oil (PD Oil if your TDi is a PD engine) Air filter and im not sure what else they check on a full service, my mechanic always strips the brakes and makes sure eveything is ok !
My mechanic is a VW trained mechanic who works on his own and he charges £115 for a full service on the TDi !
(im sure this hasnt helped you at all) ha ha ha ha

PD engine oil is roughly £7 a Litre (from a garage) so its expensive stuff (about £35 just for the oil)
£120 plus VAT isnt too bad a price, where about are you from ?
I bought just a 1ltr bottle of PD engine oil from the main dealer so i could keep the oil topped up and it was about £12 just for 1ltr
