Can't see out the back!

Post by GaryUK »

My rear wash function seems to have packed in.

The front ones still work ok.

Anyone else had this or would know if it is covered under warranty?

Pop into the local dealers and get it adjusted (if they're any good they'll do it for nowt - they may charge for a new blade though) as I had that problem after I had the washer/wiper problem fixed.

If it's not come off inside the boot lid...

It will have come off in the engine bay.

Check on the passenger side of the engine bay, you should see a pipe which has come adrift...

Plug it back into the other part of the pipe, and you'll be larfin

Damn! I have had that problem since the first day I got my car! I always thought it was a dodge wiper blade but this must be a comon fault! It is so annoying aswell! Also why did VW not make the rear water spray out like the front ones? The rear sprays up onto one place where as the front ones do actually "spray" the whole window! Can VW fix that?

mine was shot from the 1st day i had it, but after reading this i had to plug to two pipes together in the engine bay and the two pipes in the boot just next to the left hand backlight, works a treat now :)

For the problem with the circle patch, the whole arm must be replaced. Is a known problem for 9Ns. I had mine replaced last month and now everything works fine!!!!

It has just happened to me.

I tried to clear the back screen and just a dribble. Thought I had run out of screenwash.

Got further down the road and the boot open light came on the dash display.

I stopped, opened the boot and the lock was soaked and water was dripping from the boot trim.

Must of detached itself in the boot and soaked the electrics. (Any pointers in getting the trim off?)

Not only that the alarm keeps going off now, maybe because it thinks the boot is still open.
