no 4th gear

in a car park last night, had some clunks, a bit like i'd driven over something, but couldnt spot what i'd driven over.

then gear box was very difficult to use, getting 1st and 2nd was tough.

decided i best take the car home.

then discovered i didnt have a 4th gear.

and there was whining.

got it home, spelt like hot metal, like an engineering shop floor.



so my gear box has actually died!

pants...
