beta removeal

hi
just new to the vw polo world (as in got the car on friday) and im looking to get the standard beta radio c/s out of the car
and i havent really had much of a look, and i dont really want to b trying anything lol

any help would be great
if really easy please dont laugh

you need to get some release key's for the Beta ,then it's just a case of inserting the key's and removeing the unit.

i dnt have the keys !!
so where could i get keys from then
r is there anything else i could use in the place of the beta keys?

the thing that can take out the beta unit is your fingers! (and its free!!)

if its the same as the 9n, take the cubby box out, comes out with a bit of force then once thats out, u can see that the beta unit can be moved up and down, if u look under the unit, it will have 2 clips that are on each side, the release keys will push them in so u can get the unit out, but instead, use your fingers and wrap round the 2 clips and push into them, and pull the unit out while ur doing that.

you can get keys from ebay, if u prefer using keys :roll:

rite got the beta out the guy in the vw place gave me a set of keys 4 her

but the next problem is
my new head unit (pioneer 3500)goes in well and fits great, but for some reson it doesnt have the full time power goin to it
so when you swicth the car of and take the front of, it loses all the stations and cd place


will i need 2 buy a proper converting wiring loom, r wat ever it is called

yes go to halfords and get an ISO connector, connect 1 end to the car's harness and the other end to the HU's wiring.

problem solved. its £13.49 btw for the ISO connector
