i've just removed my mh engines head and its rotten in the ports can I use a 1043 head if I change the cam over TIA

As long as it's a mk2 1043, yes you can. I think mk3 1043's had smaller valves than the 1.3's.. something like that anyway. All the mk2 heads are essentially the same though, apart from the mechanical and hydraulic varieties..

Thanks GC, It's a mk2 1043 head that Im going to fit hopefuly it will work on the 1300 as i can't realy justify fixing it other wise

well I done it and yes the car is running again

, just got to set the timing up and check for leaks (fixed for the cost of a gasket)
