hmm i might have to jump on the oil cooler band wagon....ive got one off my escort im sure i can adapt to fit, just need the right sandwich plate

Surely a different choice of mesh would make it even more effective wouldn't it?!! :?

I mean that perforated sheet must only be letting in about a third of the air it could be - right??

do you even need the mesh? the cooler looks really thick and solid (moreso than a coolant radiator and that has no protection)

the mesh is fine, cooler definately doin its job properly. Jst got thicker mesh purely cos it was the only stuff knockin about at the time, and it offers extra protection, cos u neva know, that stone could always fly up and fook things up properly.

well I think that using mesh in front of the oil cooler is a bit overkill....

... I mean the bottom of mk3 radiators is exposed as standard, and how many of them have you heard getting holed by stones hitting them?
