Finally installed the KW Coilovers

Post by J-O »

YESSSS!!!!

Yesterday I finally installed my coilovers...it took me not less than 6 months to have them...thanx to this stupid local shop for not making a good work and steeling the clients money
Anyway, I've ordered them from a friend working at VW and installed them with him yesterday...
WOW WOW!!!! It's so cool :!:

Notice something weird...I've compared the stock spring (front) with the -35mm Apex front spring...and guess what...they were identical except for the colour  ...

picture will be online once I'll get the Lumma DTM lip, the badlook bonnet, new grills in bumper....soon...this is just some pics a friend took at todays meeting 8)

and that's mine in the middle of my club mates cars

Looking good mate. i think a set of 17s would be better suited to your bodykit though IMO.

PS the paintwork on the Astra is brilliant, its not often you see something fresh when it comes to paintwork.

looking great and i guarentee you will love them but a word of warning: if you lover the front 100mm then the right hand side drive shaft will hit the chassis leg which causes the bottom arm rubbers to fail prematurly (mine ripped :o ps its the rear that goes)
how did you set the rears? i set mine about 2/3 hard and it runs nice, soft enough to be comfortable but doesnt rub at - 90mm

well they are KW Variante 1 so I cannot ajust the hardness...

as for the Orange Astra, the color is very nice...it's the orange of the speedster.
There's also the Peugeot 106 in Red Ferrari that looks much better

and btw, I've seend for the first time the Lexus lights and I love them...that's the one I'll get this summer :D

do u mean they r the same height as each other wen off the car??

they will be. the reason the apex 1 lowers the car is that the metal its made of is as "strong" (i.e. lower spring rate) so it squashes up more under load.

ur cars lookin pretty nice mate! I do think u'd benefit from sum 17's as well. would suit the styling u've gone or with the rest of the car better.
