Anyone got 17s?

Hi all,
Has anyone actually got 17s on their mk 5. Im after some at the moment and want to know how big a gap is left between tyre and arch on standard suspension, if any.

I'm also interested by 17" wheels...as I need some big ones to fit my bodykit...

tricky one this... i own a Mk4 (which i think are mechanical the same)

I have a set of 17s and a set 18s (for shows), both wheels would fit easily on standard supension but the amount of travel would mean that the wheels would scrub over the slightest bump.

-40mm springs with koni adjustables are probably your best bet - mine cost Â£250 fitted and balanced - so there not as expensive as coilovers but give the right look and stop scrubbing.

i think theres been 19"`s on but the closest any of our members get is polo17 on 16`s
