Opinions on Diesel Modifying

Post by stuart_hatch »

OK, so im a poor student, and have sold my petrol 106 and gone for a Diesel 6N, now i know these arnt ment to be performance cars.

Now i plan to stick a decent air filter in and drill the air box.

I have also heard that you can get LPG conversions for diesel cars, which ass around 30% torque. What are peeps opinions on these?

And lastly, being the scafy student i am, what about running the car half on diesel and half on veg oil?

All opinions greatly appreciated!

Damn student. I'm also a student and can "afford" to run a 1.6 glx that drinks petrol the way i drive it :) Thats why they give you an overdraft..... duh..... :):)

and then you'll end up like me,
massive credit card bills and always at the bottom of your over draft - every month you get paid it all gets wiped out on debts before you get chance to do anything

lol

still was probably worth it

Just leave diesels as they are... probably the best performance you can get is to turn it into a turbo diesel... as for costs though... unlikely to get any cheap mods done on a diesel i think.
