if they're on 185 tyres now, 195 will fit?
sure its only 10mm wider but thought that would make some difference

according to the calculator things on these pages:

http://www.chris-longhurst.com/carbible ... bible.html
http://www.rochfordtyres.co.uk/TyreCalc.asp

the tyres on 185/55/15 fit rims from 5"x15" to 6.5"x15"

and 195/45/15 tyres fit rims 6.5"x15" to 8"x15"

and the 195/50s on my wheels will fit 5.5"x15" to 7"x15"

tyres are well confusing...

i guess when i pick them up i can put my 195/50s and hope the scrubbings not too bad (as this polo appears lowered more than mine was)

Information varies from manufacturer to manufacturer - hence differences - I use one book as a guide and it says 195/45 15 are fine on 6.0 - 7.5 rims

yep theyll fit

just sometimes when a wider wheel is fitted to the same width of tyre, it gives it a 'stretch' and looks good ;)
