K&N 57i HELP?

Post by PhilGTi »

I really fancy a K&N 57i, they are only £60 for my car and thought why not? My only worry is that it will make my car sound like a chavs Nova/Corsa! I really dont want it to be all ferrari like, i hate turning arround to look at a loud car and finding out its actually a 1.0L Nova.

What does the car sound like doing 3000-5000 revs? Can anyone give me a detailed description, because "it roars" dont really help!

If your exelerating hard between 3000-5000 revs then it will be loud, if you accelerate ganetly its quite nice, hear a nice suck in of air (almost turbo esq) and a little roar.

yup you can almost regulate it through the accelerater pedal, quite novel really and the sucking noise sounds wicked, like a mini dump valve hehe.

I went and got some paint made up for £9.95 inc VAT (1 letre) then got my uncle to do them for free. I aint been to his car garage til about 3 weeks ago, he has a full spraying booth with professional kit. Was mortified when i found out!!!

The amount of money i could have saved in the past!
