you need ballasts
and to be legal you need the lights to be automatically height adjustable and be wash wiped from what i know

Well if the xenon istoo much work and money - the angel eyes look pretty sweet! was thinking of gettin sum for me 6n2

These are angel eyes
Basically wen u switch the side lights on they look like this - you will probably of have seen this sort of style light on BMW mostly

Angel Eyes will greatly improve your vison at night on the road. They usually go for about £179. pricey but worth it.

Incorect, this law only applies to new cars.

Hmmm I reckon if you retrofitted HID lighting to a MKVI it would have to comply!!!

i doubt it would pass mot without self levelling and washers
plus xenons are projectors and not reflectors, so standard headlamp units wouldnt be that great

Nope, i know someone with an early mk1 mini, got HID's fitted (dont have to be projectors) has passed all MOT's and has not had any bother with the police too.
I'll find the website where it tells ya about it
