16v Prices?!

Post by James14100 »

Hi,

Is £1600 for a 16v cheap?

What sort of price do they go for?

my black 97 with 78,000 miles, fvwsh, in reasonable nick was £2295

the insurance company gave me £1700 for a 97 1.4 L on 120,000 miles

so sounds cheap to me

seems good to me - but high mileage so things change at that end of the scale!

be wary of the g/box

I've nearly always bought cars with higher miles than that - except the polo which only had 87,000 when i bought it!!

Last purchase has 245,000 miles on it!!!

no point me buying a car with low miles

cos i'll stick so many on it and wipe all its value off in no time

hence settling on a 78,000 mile 16v rather than finding a lower milage one

Don't be daft - Can't pick a Model T ford for 100 quid and it would be a Ford too
