missus was waiting in traffic when the woman behind ran into her. my missus moved over to take her details not knowing that she was hooked over the towbar.

managed to rip the front off her peugot. that'll teach her for damaging my polo

i assume the towbar took most of the impact because the bumper is only scratched. but it is still going in on tuesday to be checked. not sure where the towbar is fitted to so that may be bent.

Bugger :(

Hope the missus and the driver of the Pug is OK. IIRC the towbar is attached to the chassis and is pretty damn strong - by design it has to be to take the weight of a towed load. Towbars eh? Useful things sometimes...

I expect your insurers will demand that the car be checked out regardless, wouldn't worry as any damage will be covered by the other party's insurance by the sounds of things. Hope it all gets sorted out hassle-free :)

Maybe check underneath your car for any damage.

I had someone crash into me at around 20-30mph while i was stopped at traffic lights, got 2 scratches either side of my rear number plate and underneath the impact bar and about 3 layers of metal are bent inwards, after that the boot didnt open, got the boot fixed now but the impact bars are still bent, the man who had a red Toyota MR2 had jus a smashed fog light somehow and he gave dodgey details aswell which aint been able to trace back at all.

Funnily he said when he crashed into me, "i thought you was gonna go thru the red lights"

One word P***K!!!!!!!!!!
