Well not much has changed as its winter now!!

I've brought a few goodies one being a typhoon air filter. But I don't think it's a good idea putting it on in this weather might act like a dyson!! Lol

I've wanted one for so long! Someone on club lupo was selling it so I snapped it up. They have Bodged the wiring a bit though!! Pics to follow once I've installed it!

What type of wheel is that? Will it bolt straight on?

its a scirocco steering wheel. The actual wheel bolts straight on. But the slip ring for the horn and airbag is not the same.

You have to drill 3 holes in the new wheel and mount the old slipring from the original steering wheel on. And then connect the wires up. Quite easy really. And i can also confim the airbag in the new wheel is single ignite so it should work.

Im yet to fit it i will let everyone know how i get on!

Well here is some winter updates.

I have finally got round to fitting my K&N Typhoon air filter. It sounds awesome and seams to have made the car a bit more torquey. It was not to bad to fit just the bottom clamp which is where the horn goes was a bit of a pain.

Here is the pic of it fitted :

At 4,000 RPM and over it just sounds brilliant!

Then up next was my mate works at a scrap yard. and was breaking this.

Image

So i went down and had a look at it there was nothing wrong with it at all had 125,000Miles on it! Was only taken off the road because of being caught without insurance!

I have been looking out for some BBS RXII's and this so happened to have some on it. So i snapped them up. £100 for the set and got rid of the shagged out RA's

They do need a refurb but thats not an issue for me. Here they are.

Image

And fitted sorry about the state of the car. I havent had chance to clean it!

Image

Then next up was the steering wheel.

I brought a scirocco wheel a little while ago. So i went ahead and fitted it.

I couldn't believe how much of an arse the original steering wheel was to get off mostly the Airbag!

Image

Anyway after a few hours of pissing about i got it fitted here is the results.

Image

I have got a problem with the slip ring i think as the airbag light is on and the fault is Airbag Resistance To High.

Thats all for now!

Are there fixing points along the route of the ducting? Looks like there is one at the bottom right where it goes down in front of the grill?
