hang on a min......... y u ripping ur grills of?........... y dont u just gey a flat headed screwdriver and run it round the edge of the grill till u find a clip then use the screwdriver to push the clip out or the grill down watever. thats how i managed to get my grill bit of........ although i did pull it to start with thus breaking a clip but then decided it would be wiser and smarter to use a flat screwdriver.

to get the lower middle grill out without breaking any of the clips, all i did was look behind the bumper to see where the clips were and then using a flathead screwdriver carefully wedged it in from the front at where each clip was and popped them out one by one tilting the screwdriver out like how u would use a crowbar to wedge something open.. the bumper is abit flexible so it flexed enough to realease the clips this way. by the way is it the xenon lights you bought cuz thats a bloody good price for them, i'm assuming they're brand new?

How do you look down behind the bumper without taking it off - surely thats impossible :P

Ive bought xenon bulbs not the xenon HID, but in the heads and fogs theres H1, H7s and W5W Phillips blue vision bulbs (which are xenon filled)- all came to around 50 quid for the bulbs, but it looks sweet as. Xenon HID is a project i might look at, but its like 200 to 300 quid for the unit (a tad out of my price range at this point in time)

its the black plastic bit at the bottom that goes all the way across and underneath your bumper, mine was like yours but I swapped it for the GTi one... definitely recommended mod! 8)

nah i didn't get it sprayed the same colour, the gti's dont have it painted either as standard... its a preference thing ppl do, im still unsure whether i want to or not :?

i got it brand new from Euro Car Parts for about 30 or so quid, not bad at all and makes quite a difference, especially once you lower it!

its pretty simple but not neccessarily easy (if that makes any sense!?)..

its just a matter of taking off 1 screw under the wheel arch near the bottom on either side of the car and then just yanking the old moulding off! i would suggest getting hold of the gti splitter first so that u can see where it clips in and then just a matter wedging in a screwdriver again, once unclipped it slides outwards... putting the gti splitter back in is a bit fickle, problem i had is once i got one side in the other side would pop out!? i got there eventually tho and then just screwed it in!
