Very lucky to have someone who can teach you everything you need to know. Unfortunetly I don't have anyone like that so always got to consider labour when mods are concerned :(

Yeah im from East London with an address on the insurance risk as 'refer' which comes after group 'F'!!! Finally manage to get it to £1105 with HIC who will replace mods with mods value, which most will not. Most were giving me higher quotes before mentioned mods lol. try them nex time, you'll see a mahoosive change.

A good conversion thatd see a decnt tunable engine in your car would be one of them short block 1800 16v GTI's out of the mk2 Golf. Ive spoke about it before now with ym mates dad and he reckons he could do it a piece of p*** so someone else must be able to!

Or an easier swap would be a 2.0 16v out of a seat ibiza GTI from yester-year.

Do something big and throaty with 16v's! Itd show up some of the more boring members who settle for 1.4 16v's  lol just kidding lads.

An easyish swap should be a 1600 GTI 6n2 polo. The thing is though getting one to take everything out of. I suggest a mk2 Golf 1800 16v cause they seem to be in large supply. You could probably get one down a scrappy for fairly cheap i should think!

If no9t a golf GTI then Also thikn about 1800 and 2.0 16v audi blocks from audi 100's and audi 90's. Theres plenty of engines out there. You can do anything with enough planning and enough effort. Dont be put off by the lack of variety in engine conversions that have been done. I progressively find that things with engines are quite simple. and they get mroe simple once you really look into it.

Cheers LeMeph some good advice there, now thinking about the 2.0 Seat Ibiza Gti engine sounds like a beast lol
yea if im gonna upgrade id put at least the 1.8 16v Gti in it from the golf mk2 but then again the 1.6 Gti from the 6n2 sounds nice and nippy, but id rob stick with something bigger, tht no one expects a normal polo to have lol

been reading a few other threads aswell and think il have to look into turbos etc, would like to have a real unique engine in it to show off lol

il look into the audi engines and see wat puts out wat and wat i can add to them after everythings hooked up :D

wat would you guys think tht the biggest engine so far has been, tht been put into a polo?

al put it up as a new thread but still reply here if yous like :)
cheers again

VR6 would be the biggest size wise i guess. power wise ahs gotta be the 1.8 20v turbo. Or the S4 audi lumps, if in deed they arent the same thing...

I know V5 mk4 Golf engine has been done atleast once aswell.

Thing id think off when selectign is what upgrades are you gonna be able to get for it. Not too many companies seem to cater for the 6N2 GTI beyond induction systems and that. Im not syaing you CANT get the bits but they seem to be rarer. When do you ever see many bits for a 6N2 in magazines and that? The 16v golf GTI on the other hand has been done to death lol. So theyres plenty of bits you can get and theyre easier to get hold off i guess.

If you are dead set on a turbo then i know theyre are turbo kits out their for the golf aswell.
