Cleaned and dried her yesterday started to T-Cut but it was to hot and all just baked on to much.
but in the afternoon when it was cooler i clay kitted her.
the bonnet was the biggest shock thats always the part i spend the most time on. but the amount of dirt the clay picked up was shocking!
then today i polished and waxed (parked the car in the shade today under one of our big trees)
feels nice and smooth now and is sparkling loads in the sun

...photos dont show it to well sadly tho
lol there were some little spots of tree sap and some i think tar. which has been on her since i brought her. thought the clay would take it off but it was to well stuck. so i got annoyed and grabbed a little stone from the garden and pushed into the little spots.....not something i would suggest but it crushed the sap so all i had to do was wipe the litle bits of dust away perfectly. so im happy lol

Im having the same problem as you trying to find a head unit i like, i dont want anything to flash or showy, just aslong as i can connect my ipod and ideally 4x50watt.
I do like the JVC's though, i like the fact u can change the dial to various shades of barry boy blue....or yellow or green or red, and they have a remote

got a dent out of the rear door on the drivers side.
its a tiny dent that would have been caused by someone opening their door onto it.
if you look really carefully there are about 6 dents. so i think the person who owner her before me must have parked it on a drive next to someone who didnt care if their door swung open and knocked the hell out of her. o well
the worse dent is the one circled. its something really petty but always bugs me. my old car my Perodua has one in the same place and it still bugs me...even tho the other side of her is crushed in where a van went into the side of me.
sorry the photo is really bad the dents dont show up to well
took the door card off. and the boyfriend got a hammer with a wodden handle and just pushed it out slowly by smoothing it.
did really well. you cant feel the dent anymore and its 95% less noticable then it was before

Thanks for the advice Verity, I had a search on the internet and a scrap yerd for the storage tray and in the end bought it off VW for frigging £20.
I was also looking at that Pioneer too, it will most definitely suit the car. Nice work on the dents I'll keep the wooden hammer technique in mind.

a bit boring but thought id show you guys anyway.
took some photos the other day. round the other side of the hills i live on.
it was a nice day (drizzly and misty.....i love the rain...not so much of a sunny hot day person)
they were taken really quickly on my phone as people kept coming into the car parks and i felt a little silly on my own.
sorry for the lack of artisticness and creativeness
and one from yesterday ater the dog walk

thought id give a little update
Had a bad few days the other week
Tuesday morning going up my drive i tw***ed the front bumper on the drivers side on a wall going up my driveway. wasnt as bad as it looked as most of it was white paint from the wall. but have resprayed the airea. theres now a slight off colour patch there lol.
was going to get the back bumper resprayed anyway. so looks like im getting the front one done to.
also with in the same week ( the next Monday Night) coming out of my drive (i have two gates this was the exit rather then entry way) i went over a concreat brick that holds the iron gate in place. scratched the sill on the passenger side. painted that one in and its not noticable at all thank god.
its all just me being a divvy women i know
anyway a few tiny updates on the car.
went along all the black parts with Boot Polish.
same effect as Back to Black but lasts a lot longer
also changed the side indicators yesterday
realised the day i sold my silver polo that they were different. that mine wernt clear
and one was even slightly yellow
brought some clear ones off ebay. that look a lot nicer and neater
the photos dont show it to well tho.
looking at the ones that i took out theres no VW print on them anywhere. does that mean they arnt the original? cose everything else have the vw print on. even the fuses have them printed on.
next plans is to get the Front and Rear Bumpers Sprayed
and get a new Gear Gaiter and Interor grab handles

Ages since I last posted.
have had to get the back box for the car as that decided to go. so now the whole exhaust system is pretty much new.
painted the brake calipers the other day
got the paint on sale £5

and with staff dicountit was even less
MOT is due tomoro.
wont pass tho

the passenger door is playing up.
happened a while ago. jammed shut for about 2 weeks then suddenly worked. she has a mind of her own. as sometimes the door works and sometimes now.
but now i want to sell her shes decided to not open the door. and hence fail the mot.
had to take out the passenger seat. and pull the door car off. by taking off the door pin and the screws under the handle. then take a screw to the mech. the door is now open. but i dont dare shut it until i have a new mech. so shes hidden in my drive at the moment sandwiched in between two of my dads cars and under 2 covers lol

Just read through your whole post!
Awesome job so far!
I like the subtle changes.
Also, have you still got them alloys, (the originals you took off).
If you do, how much would you take for them.?
