Also, at what stage do you have to start worrying about how the gearbox handles the extra power?

Check my progress thread graph now on I gained 30bhp over my standard car which wAs 180bhp at the fly revo stage one went to 210

Having a look now, 210?!! Insane!

I think VW claim the max torque for this gearbox is 250Nm, therefore a stage 1 map should not be a problem as the gains are not too high.

My peak torque was 240 lol

The graph says 248 ft- lb which = 336 N m.

However the STD car produces 185 ft lb = 250 N m

The graph also stated that your car produced about 220 ft lb as STD. So either you car is producing more torque than quoted or awesomes rr needs to be recalibrated however the point I am making is that your torque increased by 30 ft lb so the gearbox should be able to handle that.

No it's was because the amount of smoke coming out the back of the Derv machine
