Secondary Speed Display - Sorted!
Re: Secondary Speed Display - Sorted!
http://www.ilexa.co.uk and http://www.gendan.co.uk are 2 UK suppliers.
To get the mph on the display just go into 17-instruments and go into long coding and change the region from UK to Australia. Don't feel tempted to pick one of the other options. All have issues like the US makes all mpg calculations in US gallons, and the Saudi setting gives a speed warning you cant disable at 74 mph or something similar.
As for the rear lights, it's in 09- central electrics. It's the option that relates to parking lights I can't remember off hand as my vag com laptop is at work, but I'll update tomorrow.

Re: Secondary Speed Display - Sorted!
Is their anything about auto lights / coming home lights in vagcom ?

The rain sensor fitted to mine does not have dusk sensor built in so would need a different part. Is there any way that vagcom could just be used to enable coming/leaving home lights when you lock and unlock the car without the dusk sensor?daydotz wrote:Is their anything about auto lights / coming home lights in vagcom ?

Re: Secondary Speed Display - Sorted!

Secondary Speed Display - Sorted!
I may have come up with Another idea if you still want auto lights seat do an accessory kit
Re: Secondary Speed Display - Sorted!
i cant find even find Australia listed
i think i was in the wrong menu
Guide
Go to 17-Instruments and look under Coding, then (IIRC) on the first page, there is a drop down list of countries (it will currently be set as UK) change it to Australia, this is all you need VCDS for.
Then on the car's maxidot go to:
MFD
SETTINGS
Units,
"Consu/distance" change this back to mpg (GB), mi (as it defaults to 1/100km, km),
then
SETTINGS
"MFD data" and make sure the box for Digit.speed is ticked
then
SETTINGS
and unticked the "ALT.speed dis." box (this will remove the KPH speed and replace it with the outside temp display)
[/size]

Re: Secondary Speed Display - Sorted!
Has anyone solved this? can't find anything on the net.Edi30 wrote:

Can any one confirm if the dusk sensor is built into the rain sensor as I think it is?
