I have tested both codes with both having the same outcome.
currently have the second coding active.

lights are functional front and rear.

I still have to manually activate and deactivate the high beams using the stalk.

the daytime running lights are not working.
from the link you provided, I have option 5.
current wire installation:
T73a/5 -> Right dipped beam
T73b/3 -> Left dipped beam

Then you will have to install two new wires for the two BCM output signals that go to the bulbs or LED module (depends on your lighting configuration). https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... sp=sharing

It would only be possible if you had the high beams under BCM control, ie Light Assist / HBA. Which implies a somewhat different wiring configuration and BCM MAX 7E0.
However, with BCM MAX 7H0 937 090 B it is not possible, because channel 54 is not available in BCM adaptations, ... a BCM MAX 7E0 is required + 7E0 stalks.

Your original installation for Drl is not for BCM MAX.
Your current wire configuration for Drl is not correct. It is probably causing fails/faults.

With BCM Max, halogen headlights and AUTO light switch, Volkswagen offers you the following DRLs (under BCM control, mandatory).
