LOL "can i speak to the black guy please" i bet they don't hear that often!

so what category was the £159 alarm then?

my insurance said that a cat2 immobiliser is all they need - and a cat1 makes NO difference to the premium. worth bearing in mind.

microtechnics said they'd fit me an alarm and central locking (not insurance approved) for 149... so if this 159 is for an insurance approved one then I'd do it!

just been to see "that black guy" today, also recommended a sigma remote central locking alarm for my polo, £170 all in is a great price i think, cant wait to get it fitted!

I have a 2000 1.4 SE and recemtly fitted a META cat 1 alarm. The alarm operates the central locking and the electric windows for total closure total cost was £275 fitted.

If you have electric windows i would really recommend going for the window total closure option if its available!

Yeah, told you he woz the man! And yes you can have total closure etc, its well worth having it fully wired. When its done you can't tell its not factory standard!

He did take off my coolant level sensor plug to fit something and forgot to reconnect it, but I saw it immediately. They got other cool stuff in that shop too. Have fun.
