Hello ciclo!

Thank you for the fast answer. I returned the BCM Max to the seller, that happened before half a year, so I do not know and have the full part number of it. I will try find another BCM Max.

Also, I am not quite sure that I understood you about this finding the signal for the new BCM. Is there any wiring loom
I can buy for that case or is there any wiring diagram or which pins to connect to make it start? :D

Thank you again in advance!

Best regards,
Ivan

Download the 6R wiring diagrams and view them in PDF format.
The BCM pin/signal assignments are located on the last pages.
Use the PDF search engine.
Use a laptop, you can throw your smartphone in the trash for these tasks. :)

 https://drive.google.com/file/d/1d5coIk ... sp=sharing

Check the wires that connect to the BCM connectors on your 6R (take photos) and note any missing ones according to the assignments/pinout in the PDF.
It's normal for your 6R with a 086 BCM to have many missing pins/wires.

What is the part number of your factory BCM 086?

Hi ciclo,

The original BCM part number is 6R0937086B. I will take a look on the diagrams. You are right that phone is not OK for this task. I saw some repair wires from Aliexpress are they good for the job? Or if you have information from where I can get such small pins?

Also, saw a video in YouTube from an Indian guy which installs BCM max https://youtu.be/--b6tBpdToo?is=mz7-wfA2bEMzd7yB
and from what I see I need to run the wires from pins 28 and 29 from the instrument cluster to 54 and 57.

Best regards

The most likely reason VCDS is telling you it can't reach or find the BCM (Max) module is that your 6R (with 086B BCM) is missing the 'convenience' CAN lines, as shown in the previous image of my previous post. Check them and install them as indicated if they are missing.

Then, depending on the BCM Max model (7E0), it may also be necessary to install additional CAN lines for the instrument cluster.
Aditya🤗 is also a highly respected user of uk-polos.net, who also purchased the wiring harness I designed and manufactured for the BCM Max adaptation. He has excellent video tutorials on YouTube dedicated to the 6R/60/61 (PQ25 family). Please don't forget to like them to reward his great work. Thank you.
I don't currently sell this complete wiring harness, but I can help with the more complicated parts.
My help begins with the purchase of the wiring for the automatic lights.

I NOT DO YOUR JOB:
Please let me explain. Knowing which wires, terminals, and other materials are needed for adapting the PQ25 BCM Max is your responsibility. There's a wealth of information available on various forums worldwide (Russia, India, NL, etc.). Making your own wiring requires some experience in crimping terminals and decent crimping tools.

E.g: www.Drive2.ru Key word: PQ25 BCM

Thank you, again, for the information you provide without paying, I read your article that you stopped to produce the BCM installation. I am also interested in buying the auto headlights installation in the future, but I wanted first to update the BCM, after that I want to install the stalks for cruise control and trip computer, they are the first thing I updated the BCM for. :D
Also I am interested in doing some things myself so to learn something and feel some kind of satisfaction. I have a little experience with retrofitting some things on my Audi a4 b6.

Without a doubt, it's an excellent plan of action.
Gaining experience and knowledge can sometimes be tedious, but the reward is usually satisfying.👍

Thanks.
It's really interesting to know if your 6R is missing those factory 'Convenience/Comfort' CAN lines (20,21)... Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi ciclo,

I have tried to install the new BCM Max module 7H0937090B, but the errors I receive are:

01516 - Terminal 30, Left 011 - Open Circuit

00927 - Terminal 30, Right 011 - Open Circuit

Also, there is a problem that the window regulators for the front doors do not work, and also the lock and unlock buttons on the door (the car is with manual rear doors), but I think this is due to the missing CAN wires I have to install.
By any chance, do you know what causes the terminal 30 errors? And also I read that a person changed a BCM from 7H0 to 7E0, what are the differences if you know except the part number?

Hi ivanv.

1. Have you installed the comfort/convenience CAN lines I mentioned earlier in your 6R? Is this why your VCDS can now read/reach the new 7H0 BCM?
This is so we know what you're doing with your 6R.

2. The +30 faults are normal. It's part of the BCM wiring adaptation.
The central locking system faults are probably due to the BCM coding and/or the missing door LIN.

3. 7H0 vs 7E0.
- 7E0 is more up-to-date, and retrofits require the installation of new CAN lines for the instrument cluster.
For the 7E0, depending on the year of manufacture, the number of systems that can be managed was expanded.

- The 7H0 remains a good BCM for expanding the factory-designed equipment for models up to 2015.

Hi ciclo,

I haven’t installed them yet, I just wanted to try if the module will be reached by VCDS without changing anything. It is reachable and I adapted it with the long coding from the old module + some more digits to match the length the new long coding from the new 7H0 module.
Also, adapted the key and can unlock and lock the car and the central locking is working.
The only things that are not working are the driver and passenger door comfort functions (window regulators and buttons for locking and unlocking).

In such case I will search for 7E0 module, I want to be with the best I can be with.
Thanks for the fast answers.

At the end of this post, I explained how to reset the comfort function for the windows:
https://www.uk-polos.net/viewtopic.php?p=481352#p481352
It's also explained in the owner's manual.

Very important:
Perform one final autoscan with the old BCM.
Perform one autoscan with the new BCM.

I am sorry, maybe I do not explain well but I will try again. The buttons on the doors work with the old BCM 087B but with the new one 090B, they do not work.

Hi ivanv. Let me tell you that it's time for you to open a new thread in the 6R forum section so you can ask your questions there and upload relevant information, such as Autoscans.

Imagine you were selling something, and your sales thread was receiving questions unrelated to the sale... what would you think?

Please let me know with a link to your new thread. 👍
Just a reminder that you need at least 10 posts in the forum to upload Autoscans and contact any user via private message.

Thanks!
