Got clutch cable lubricated and adjusted, garage said I didn't need a new one. Also got the box oil changed and apparently there was no metal swarf in it or on the magnet, happy days! Car seems easier to drive now so hopefully that'll give the box some more life!

The mats are just standard vw mats.

The stripe around the grill is just detailing tape I got from Halfrauds. Can't remember how thick, depends on how wide you want it I suppose! Amazingly its lasted a year so far 8)

I think the wheels just look too big for the car. The center cap looks massive in proportion to the rest of it lol

Hi all, long time no post, been a busy summer! Finally found a set of 16" Rx's in 4x100, took a while but worth the wait. I know the most common tyre size for these wheels is 195/40/16 but am worried about the ride/risk of denting due to Glasgow's pot holes!

The wheels came with 195/45/16 which need binned but am wondering if anyone has run these before and if they had any problems? Also the selection of tyres is better in this size and also significantly cheaper!

Cheers for any help in advance.

Simon

Those tyres will scrub the rear arches badly and the speedo will be out. I strongly advise against it

I had a set on my 16s when I got the car, and my rear arches had burned through! Bloody nightmare lol
