Its not a switch...its a temperature sensor for the aircon. If you have aircon, you have a sensor.

PM me your chassis number (WVWZZZetc) and ill check the parts.

Ok, update on this one:

- Bought the sensor switch and the pollen filter, fitted this morning. No difference :evil:

Went to Kwik Fit to get the system re-gassed (was already done in October last year). System said - no gas in system. Re-gassed now for £49 and all working, not sure how long for of course.

The system also said there was no leak ...

So ... why did it work in October when I took delivery of the car after they "fixed" it as it was not working on the test drive, and a few months later it stops working even though the system says - no leak.

My concern is that if it was re-gassed in October, and now having 0 content, what is there to say that it won't be empty in a couple of months again ...

Itll be under a 'warranty' as such.

You must have a leak somewhere

It can leak from the bottom of the aircon pump, or from the condenser unit in front of the radiator in the front bumper - thats the most likely area. Mine had a small leak that had to be addressed there.
