Hahahaha

saw that Micra and thought "oh b*******s he's gonna hold me up", but knowing the road decided to pass him, he was doing about 35mph or so. As I changed up from 3rd into 4th I hit a peak of about 65ish mph before taking my foot off when the Micra intervened

Sounds pretty darn nice that Si. Would be nice to see a video of you out on some open roads.
Maybe do a video where your giving it a bit of stick. Have you heard of the "redline".

Surely there's a road near you for you to do that!

Me and the redline are good friends, I see it quite often.
I take him you know it well as well?

Well, i ain't one who is on it all the time, but when the opportunity arises (which is normally everyday

) i like to say hello
I'm sure though, if i had an exhaust that sounded like Si's, i'd be a lot more friendly with Mr redline!

I was at around the 5000rpm mark when i changed up into 4th. Once you get the revs up above about 4000 and the VVT kicks in, the exhaust note is almost identical to standard. I do like to throttle it when the car is warmed up (but rarely hit the redline and change up around 5000-5500) but the road i did the video on isn't ideal as it is a little tight! I'll have to do another, this was my first go at video from inside the car but there was plenty of space left on the camera's memory card for a longer recording
Anyone hear the ABS cutting in as I braked for that tight left - you can only just pick it up, the driver's side front triggered it I think on the uneven ground, there is kind of a deep grating/rubbing sound (if you've heard the ABS cut in before you'll know it) for just a half-second as I round the corner

I get it every now and again at the bottom of my road, I have to brake coming up to a juction and there's a few potholes that I go over.
I change at about 6k usually, again only when the car's warmed up though.

- Does the sound cut out when you're doing motorway / dual carriage way speeds? 'Cause that's what annoys me with my exhaust, it's still noisy when doing around 70mph.
Looking forward to the one from outside!
Yes mate, the sound of the exhaust settles down when you're cruising, and is only slightly louder than OEM. I've got two videos made from outside the car, my mate Mark with the camera wasn't sure if the sound was clear enough on the first take so he moved the camera closer to the tailpipe. Turns out its just the camera's little speaker that can't transmit the volume!

Both files under 2MB each. Both weak efforts as we didn't want to disturb the neighbours by revving the arse off it

so we need to find somewhere quieter to get a better clip made. Gives you an idea of the idle note though, which is meatier than OEM. Only revved it a little, which in hindsight was a shame

Yeah sounds pretty good
And theres a reason I chose Redline as my user-name, and it wasn't related to that modifying magazine of dubious quality.
