You think? :D I think it would look much better with 25mm(+/-5mm) wheel spacers in the back and 20mm(+/-5mm) in the front :) but I don't know about performance figures... :?

Yes they do. But I have enabled parking lights on when the car is running so I had to remove original DRL light bulbs :)

Any of you guys maybe knows how good it is to do chip tuning of the engine with DSG gearbox? I know DSG with dry clutch are sensitive about torque(maximum is 250Nm), but horsepower is not limited as I know(Passat 1.8TSI, Polo GTI, Golf 1.4TSI ACT,...). Is it possible to raise the horsepower but limit the torque to 250Nm? :)

Have a nice start of the week! :)

Therefore the correct answer should be Image...
By the way, IMHO, in your case it would have been easier to remove original fuse 56 than original bulbs.

Actually yes...rings do not work as DRL unless you have parking(side) light on when Position 15 I think? :)
I didn't know that I could take the fuse out for DRL lights... :( Feeling so stupid right now...

Maybe some of you guys know someone who does chip tuning and knows how it is with chip tuning on engines with DSG with dry clutches?

Daytime Running Light = Front ON, Tail OFF, in any other way is not DRL.

If they dont run as drls causes a few issues here in uk, as after 2010 drls need to be active when car is running

Yes I know...DRL are only front lights, unless in Scandinavia where you have to have front and back ON for DRL.

Rings in LED technology work as parking(side) lights...I have enabled parking lights on when car is running so my rings are working perfectly, otherwise I would have to put the light switch in middle position...
As I said I have enabled front and back parking lights when light switch is in 0 position, but license plate light bulbs are not working.

BTW, on Thursday I have an appointment for chip tuning to around 140PS and 300Nm of torque. The guy said that the DSG7 gearboxes with dry clutches can withstand a lot more than 250Nm(they had a few 1.4TSI and 1.8TSI with DSG7 and when tuned those engines are pushing around 350Nm of torque and the gearbox works perfectly).

Have a nice evening :)

Not in Denmark, Tadej. It is allowed only to have DRL activated in the front as long as the conditions (Weather etc.) are ok for this...

Here in Slovenia it's the same, but I prefer having back turned on as well. Everyday I see someone who is driving with front DRLs and the back of the vehicle is almost not visible(especially darker cars in bad weather).

All right, tadej, but you have Daytime Parking Lights  (DPL) not Daytime Running Lights (DRL)... just kidding.

DPL:
Recent lights (2010-->) used by people that install better headlights on their "vehicles" but without modifying the wirings... and other expensive parts.
Note
Not completely applicable to Scandinavian countries... and other places of the world...

Beware of traffic sanctions.Image ... in Europe and other places of the world ...

Tadej, please do not be angry, you know I'm kidding.Image

Yes Ciclo, I agree with you, I just said it wrong :/

I'm not angry, really :D I know you have a lot more knowledge about cars and especially Polo :) I can't argue with that :)

I can't wait tomorrow when car is getting chip tuning :D

Just a quick update...today car has been in for chip tuning at slovenian company called SKN Tuning and they an amazing job :)
I can't believe how much better it is, the throttle is more responsive, DSG gearbox is actually shifting better and at more optimized RPMs, engine noise is lower,...
Tomorrow I will be doing 0-100km/h times :) when the car was stock 0-100 was in 10,8s(measured by GPS, outside temperature 4°C) and I think that now is under 10s(hopefully) :D

Have a great evening :)

I did 0-100km/h times on friday :D I can't hide happiness :)
0-100km/h is now done in less than 8,7s, 8,63s to bo exact :) car feels much more responsive to throttle inputs and the gearbox is working better(quicker changes, sooner). :)

Hi everyone.

Through time I had done some more changes :)

I put wheelspacers on, 12,5mm in the front and 20mm in the back. The car looks absolutely gorgeous now :)

Some pics:

ImageImageImageImage

There was a bit of rubbing from the front tyres, but I have changed to summer tyres now and the problem is gone. The ride a little bit smoother and the car is more stable in corners.

Have a nice day :)
