Tadej's 6R Polo 1.6TDI DSG
Hello guys.
I'm new to this forum and I must say everyone is really nice and helpful.
I'm coming from Slovenia and so is the car.
So I own a 2010 VW Polo 6R 1.6TDI DSG 90hp. I bought it in august 2015 and it had 9503km on the odometer(previously owned by old man) and it was serviced regularly(I've done service the same day I bought it).
The first I had planned was changing the head unit because I really like good sound system in my car(everyday I spend around 2 hours in the car).
The car is Highline equipment as standard but when it was ordered it had some extras on it:
-Boavista sport package(Boavista 17" ALU rims, 15mm lower suspension, from B pillar backwards additionally darkened windows
-Winter package(heated seats, heated window spraying thing(I don't know how it's called), indicator for fluid)
-Climatronic
-Silver metallic paint
-DSG gearbox
-Multifunction steering wheel
-Auto-dimming rear view mirror
-Rain sensor
-Rear parking sensor
-DRL
Since I collected my car I had done some mods on the car that are worth mentioning:
-changed all the light bulbs(front H7(all 4) are now white xenon look 5000K, front parking lights are OEM LED, license plate light bulbs are OEM LED, DRL are LED, fog lights are also xenon white look)
-Aluminium gas and brake pedals
-interior light bulbs changed to LED
-changed the headunit for OEM look-a-like with GPS navi, BT, 2xUSB, microsd slot(really great thing)
-mounted amp(BOSS 1400W RMS) in the trunk, on the amp I have Infinity subwoofer in custom made box, front and rear speakers are still original, but planning on changing that
-changed the reverse light bulb with LED with CREE technology
-added plastic on the door hinges
-added ALU trim plates on the thresholds of the door
-made some VCDS changes(automatic door locking above 15km/h and unlocking when removing the key).
I'm planning on doing:
-VCDS mods for cornering light
-Maybe installing OEM Xenon headlights
-Changing front and rear speakers
-Sound deadening in the trunk, front doors, rear doors, roof and under the bonnet
That's about it.
Here are some pictures of my car:
Enjoy

Hi tadej, welcome.
As I said in my topic you have a very nice 6R.
With this information...

http://www.uk-polos.net/viewtopic.php?f ... 10#p503244
...this is the way for you to get the static cornering light in your 6R.
Your 6R meets the necessary prerequisites:
- Steering angle sensor (6R with ESP)
- The BCM appropriate with right pins.
- Fog lamps.
The following image is what you have to do to get the static cornering light. Click to enlarge:
+ VCDS
Please read everything I've written on the image so many times as needed, it is very simple to understand.
Another different thing is do it.

I just want to make sure I understand everything...I need to get new wire from light switch to BCM and 2 new wires to front fog lights(one wire per light) and connect to desired pins of course?
Have a great day

Re: Tadej's 6R Polo 1.6TDI DSG
Hi Tadej,
you have a really cool car, I love the rims and darkened windows.
Your BCM is the same as mine and in my car static cornering lights were already activ. Will not have yours disabled?
Your Coding is this; 3CB02BBF48A10000013806003CAB0FD00080410F60842000200000000000
My Coding is this; 3CB02BBF08A10000003800007CAB0CD00000410F60860040200000000000
It is not necessary to change the Coding all, i do not know the exact head fields to change, but go to the fields in the BCM, you see the bytes that can possible refered to cornering lights statics, see what value (letters and/or numbers) you got there and you compare to what I have on my Coding. Try this.
You know that static cornering lights work only if you have connected medium, never with the DRL lights (position 0), right?

Wait a moment, before you do something... you will do the following with VCDS:tadej wrote: I just want to make sure I understand everything...I need to get new wire from light switch to BCM and 2 new wires to front fog lights(one wire per light) and connect to desired pins of course?
BCM
current coding
3CB02BBF48A10000013806003CAB0FD00080410F60842000200000000000
change by
New coding
3CB02BBF48A10000013806007CAB8FD00080412F608E2000200000000000
Copy from here and paste just like Marjacic explained here: http://www.uk-polos.net/viewtopic.php?f ... 10#p503250
...but with New coding that I say you here. Click Do it...
Check static cornering light in fogs with lights ON (light switch). Tell us the result.
If you get no a good result, check in the white connector of the BCM that the wires are present in the slots 9 and 10 (you need to remove the white cap from connector)
Why you will have to do this before you do something?
This is not possible or at least does not make sense in 6R without xenon headlamps, fuses 54 and 57 are dedicated to the fog lights:
54 foglights not controlled by the BCM,
57 foglights controlled by the BCM and the possibility of static cornering light.
If you get static cornering lights with BCM coding aforementioned the yellow-white wire in the slot 8 of the light switch connector should be yellow color (only) according Elsawin.
I will not explain further because no has sense if you don't have Elsawin.
We wait the results and we thank the collaboration of Ugabista, one thing is what is written (Elsawin) and a different thing is the reality.
By the way, this is more interesting than it sounds....

Re: Tadej's 6R Polo 1.6TDI DSG
I did it. For now I didn't have time to get to the BCM, so I just copied coding and "Did it", but nothing happens. In this other coding some settings has been enabled, like speed dependent wipers(even though I have rain sensor). So I put my old coding back. The first hour of time I will have, I will do as you said Ciclo...to put new wires from light switch to the BCM and from BCM to the fog lights.ciclo wrote: Wait a moment, before you do something... you will do the following with VCDS:

Thank you very much. Tomorrow car is going in for a service(one diesel injection is showing error-under low rpm and full throttle position, engine is making some unwanted noises).ciclo wrote:Yes, also read the note in the picture.
For next week I have ordered Golf MK7 lookalike headlights with xenon kit and I will put them on. Meanwhile I think I will have time to work the cables from BCM to fog lights(I think I'm going to order original cables).

Oh, ciclo, one more question. Everybody has told me I have to remove the front bumper and wipers to put cables in nicely...is this correct?

All wires (lights included) from interior to the engine area go through same point (firewall), you can see in Elsawin, ETKA or here:tadej wrote: Oh, ciclo, one more question. Everybody has told me I have to remove the front bumper and wipers to put cables in nicely...is this correct?

About the headlights, tadej and haflidij , read the entire link that shows you peter_dk25 and recommended by iichel .tadej wrote: Link for headlights(slovenian store): http://www.avto.net/_OPREMA/ad.asp?ID=10402016&show=1
On the German forum, contact WhiteDragon (http://www.x2car.de), he has good experience with these headlights.

To keep you informed...today I actually had time to order the headlights and they are arriving next week. I also took a Xenon kit to give a proper lookciclo wrote: About the headlights, tadej and haflidij , read the entire link that shows you peter_dk25 and recommended by iichel .

Ciclo I listened to your advice and contacted WhiteDragon on german forum and he assured me that headlights work great. So if someone is planning on changing the headlights
Also in the next weeks I will have so much time to put wires to the front fog lights and do everything for cornering lights, but in truth work is killing me lately
