Hi All,
i am looking to switch the 12V (Cigarette Lighter) to always on so that i can plug in a solar panel to trickle charge the battery and i have found instructions on how to move the fuse position on some "older" fuse boxes however on my layout i cannot see such an option being available perhaps i need to switch the fuse to a different location?
Any help would be welcome to save me having to leave the bonnet (hood) open to connect directly to the battery.
Thanking you in advance
Jimmy
the model of my polo is 6c Diesel with the fuse box in the center under the steering wheel and the layout of the fusebox is as follows.

Yep that's indeed true, the Polo 6C doesn't have the option to move a fuse so that the 12V socket becomes a permanent live.
You could check out the fuse diagram in the first post and see if you have any 'Terminal 30' slots free. Terminal 30 is also permanent live.
You could hook your solar panel up to that?

Hello,

Anyone know where the rear window fuse and relay are?

Rear door control module on Polo 6R = SB52. There is no relay.

Hi, its been awhile since this thread was active but i figured i might have better shot asking here

im driving a 2010 polo 6r and my front and rear passenger sidelights are not working. everything was working except the two sidelights set there with you. i think there was a short circuit with my 6r headlight cluster so i swapped them out for the 6c one with dual h7 as well.

is there any possible way i can fix this? if its a fuse, do let me know what fuse is failing and thats why oh also, do we need to clear thatsbth

if it's really only the parking lights, it's probably not a fuse. try disconnecting i.e. the fronts or the rears and see if the other side works

hmm ive tried disconnecting the entire front headlight cluster but the back sidelight still doesnt turn on. the bulbs are fine bc ive swapped them to the right side and all of them work as they should.
ohh theres the bulb out warning on my dash as well if that helps with anything. would there be a possibility that i need to try and clear any fault codes to get the lights working again?
