I've gotta get a clip of that!!
I'm flattered

didn't quite know how to respond as you were saying how much you liked my car as I don't take compliments that easily! But thanks!
Who was I talking to at the petrol station near Ipswich? Someone with a silver Mk5 GTi and a UK-POLOS T-Shirt? My memory sucks!
Don't suppose anyone took any pics of this car over the weekend by any chance? If so
[email protected] would love to receive an e-mail with attached pics if poss!
Regards,
Alex Grant

I ended up at the back of a convoy who all missed the turning, so I followed them incase they knew a shortcut only to come off at the next round about and go back, must have been around 20 of us.
That's quite funny, I should've been in that convoy but I locked myself out and ended up missing it. Took me about 6 hours to get to Ipswich so it sounds as if I actually got there before everyone anyway!
What part of Cardiff are you from? I've not seen your Polo around.
PS check out
www.elite1000-cardiff.co.uk it'd be nice to have another Polo along!!!

Sounds like it might be him, can't remember if the GTi had tints or not though.

The 8 hours was there and back. Only took about 3 1/2 hours to get there. With a few stops on the way back.
I used to live in Fairwater, Cardiff but now live out near Penarth.
And I shall check out the website!
James.

3 and a half hours? How??? Like I say, it took me 6, of which 2 were on the M4. It took me ages to get around the M25 - frustratingly I hit that at rush hour - then had to pick someone up en route.
I think that was the GTi I saw at the service station, I definately saw it at the show itself as I remember the plate!

Well Built - Thanks mate...
Yes, it was me... I was with Dan Hardhitter IIRC.
Was it on Sunday on the way home? In the Shell with about a million VW's queuing for Optimaxâ„¢?
Anyway, I kept mistaking your GT for Dan's! You don't see many in that colour!

Yep that's the one! Mine was in the queue ahead of Dan's, and that

in a Scooby nicked my space in the queue for the pump.
My GT's grey though, Dan's is Windsor Blue, similar in that light though I guess!

No worries, I've always seen your car on your signature at Porka and thought 'God thats nice'. Its bassically everything I like personally about a modded VW!!
Then when I saw you and your car on the 'show and shine' I just thought I'd regret it later if I didn't come and say hello.
Didn't mean to embarrass you, reason probably being I was talking to one of those 'Win a Ferrari' girls before you. Must have been in charm mode!!

Should have taken a picture, but i didnt have the camera
