a friend of mine did his whole roof with this stuff, and said treat it like you would windown tint. spray soapy water onto it first. then lay the carbon vinyl on and squeege out the water. that might help??roop27 wrote:just tried vinyl on my b pillars, proving much more difficult that i thought with regards to the tiny pathetic bubbles...any advice?

I didn't have any problems with it, Did you buy the decent stuff? (Some types are better than others!) Use a credit card to smooth it down as you go. And a hairdryer helps mould the stuff to the right shape.roop27 wrote:just tried vinyl on my b pillars, proving much more difficult that i thought with regards to the tiny pathetic bubbles...any advice?

You preferably need 2 people. 1 person to heat up the vinyl and one person to apply. Easy as anything then!

Ah I thought you meant the carbon fibre stuff. The decent CF stuff has a slight square uniform texture to the underside to prevent air bubbles. I'll find out about gloss black later this week as I'll be having a go!roop27 wrote:how can you tell its decent stuff? lol i just picked up some from ebay for £6 (1mx600) where did you get yours tim?
