My 1st OEM mod...
Ok I know it's sad, but I couldn't resist it and am now posting the pics of my 1st (very small!) mod in the Polo:
VW OEM sunglass holder!
Another pic... Yellow glow on pic is a flashlight - I was trying to illuminate the scene a little better!
Pretty straightfoward: just replace the grab handle with it. 2 philips screws and that's it.
That's it. Part number for one of these is 1J0 857 465 Y20 (if you have grey headlining) or 8YS (for beige). Cost me the equivalent of £9 from a VW dealer.
Oh, and its a Golf IV (1J0) part.
Cheers,

That happens... VWSA probably only has enough parts in stock for a few days' production, and replacements need to be special-oredered (trim elements like the sunglass holder don't usually break down and need replacement). The V5 is probably assembled locally with imported parts rather than fully manufactured in South Africa, hence the absence of a local supplier for some of the parts.
I had a similar problem, had to wait a few days for my sunglass holder to come from southern Brazil (Paraná state) where the Golfs/Audi A3s are made. The part was made in Brasil though.
About my other accessories, I ordered a luggage net from Martyn only to find out that they`re sold through the Audi network. I got it cheaper from VAGparts though, as the luggage nets are imported from Germany - so buying in the UK means I'm getting it tax-free!
Cheers,
