engines in 6n's?

engines in 6n's?

does anyone have any advice about what engines can be fitted in without too much work? For example will a golf 1800 gti fit in to replace my 1400?
any help much appreciated

1.8T are popular, check out the mk4 section, quite a few topics kicking bout.

*Bump

As a rule of thumb - only Mk3, 4, and 5 Polo engines will fit straight in without modifying the engine mounts. Golf engines will not lob straight in as they have engine mounts in different places.
