Another alloy question

Post by ClublandPolo »

hi all
this question must b gettin annoying (did a search for it - typical u can never find the topic your needing wen u want it  )
anyway, finally getting round to buying my alloys, my mk4's lowered by 40mm so going with 16" alloys :
http://www.topgear.co.uk/acatalog/TD16_inch.php
^ These r the alloys i'm wanting (direct link, if thats allowed :? ) they r the Omega Hi Power Silver (second ones on the top row) but they say they come with 195/45/16 tyres. Will that not b too wide? they dont mention any other sizes (also, has any1 dealt with topgear b4? they ne gud?)
rite, essay over, cheers 4 ne help uv got

should be fine, just.....

most people have 195's on 15 inch rims.

it's the 16 inch that's the problem - you should really have 40 profile tyres.... but people get away with 195x50x15's which has got to be similar to that setup..

if u want to lower it further (in future) i would go for 195/45/15 for 15" rim

or 195/40/16 for 16" rim :) just to be sure they wont rub against bodywork/chassis
