Today was the day!

Post by SpikeyG40 »

well, today was the day that we said goodbye and fairwell to Dan's mk5! she's been a great little car and we hope that she'll go to a great owner who will love the car as much as dan has! (u never no, it may turn up on hear due to the uk-polos stickers!)

so what did he trade the little polo in for? keeping in the VAG theme of things, he has bought a seat leon sport (1.8 20V T).

this means there is one less polo in our family!

i believe dan will still be interested in the polo theme had he has confirmed with me that he would like to come to our meets (if u lot let him)

spose this means i'll have to change my name  maybe later

regards
Doug

You are all traitors! I'll never leave my 'wife', marriage is for life for better or for worse and I never trade 'her' in for a newer better model!

Ha ha ha! (unless I earn a lot more money then I may consider a mistress! ha ha ha).

i think that might be an idea, although it might be a bit too general and people will probably move over to the more specific forums!

i'll hopefully be posting some pictures of the new car soon and the final pictures off the polo in all her glory!

sorry to bring this post back up again, but i thought it better than start a whole new one!

after a few months of driving the leon sport, Dan has had to come back down to reality! the leon was just too expensive to run, and what with finance and insurance, dan was loosing money repidly!

so, he has had to trade it in and get something a bit more economical! he has gone for something a little closer to the polo scene! A seat Ibiza Sport 1.9tdi 130bhp!

its a lovely car but has plenty of potentail!

at least he'll be able to use the section on here for the ibiza and don't have to wonder too far from his true home!

yeah you mentioned this to me on msn if i remember rightly, just shows you have to cover all aspects when buying a new car, like my parents when they bought an audi a3 1.8, lovely car, insurance wasn't too bad, but.....ouch the fuel costs
hope hes happy with the tdi
