Is this a real job?

So, in my ongoing hunt for a job, I came across this gem today:

"Lecturer in Fence Erection & Maintenance"

Not saying where, because I might even go for it.

But, seriously, this is a job that pays up to £32k.

Not a great wage by all accounts, but how much can there be to putting some fences up and painting them every so often?!

I kinda get the feeling we're offering courses for subjects that don't merit courses!

of course it is - at builders technical college. though it does sound just a bit over-specific!

my uncle's currently looking at shifting from doing his quite lucrative construction job to teaching it at a tech college (just a different name for a poly, i guess!). apparently they're starting to get a bit desperate for tutors
