Hi All,
I've got a N Reg VW Polo, which i've managed to keep going for the past 10 years, now rusting and can't justify getting a new motor yet. Love my Little beast.
Anyway, i need some help with getting at the ignition switch any ideas? i've got all the housing off but seems sealed away and i can see how i can get to it.
Would be great help if you guys could give me some pointers.
Many Thanks
Matt

Hiya - I had the same issue with my ignition switch giving up the ghost..
to be honest I looked at the Haynes book of lies as well... seeing as the bolts are shear bolts I decided to let my local mechanic deal with it.. it it went wrong you would end up with an expensive bill to sort so 1 or 2hrs labour should be ok in the long run - iirc the part is about £12 from ECP.
