£182 for a new window?

Post by VPR »

The bottom window seal (3dr, driver side rear) on my Polo split some time ago and has since peeled away substantially. I went into my local dealer a few days ago and was told it would cost £182 to fix as the whole window needs replacing due to the seal being integral to the glass.

I've asked around other places like autoglass but they quoted me the same for a fix, just wondering if there's a cheaper way to repair it?

Not sure of any fixes or anything, but don't take risks with your windscreen/life saver :?
