Polo 1.4 16v Remapping

Post by Josh_PoloGTi »

All

JBS Auto Designs are pleased to announce their Custom Code for the Polo "16v" 1.4 16v Engine!

JBS advise that this remap should give between 12 and 15bhp extra, along with extra torque and much smoother drivability!

Please post in this thread if you would be interested in having this software installed!

You know this is the one you've been waiting for!!! 8)

wow, sounds good

how about a group buy, pay in cash - 250 all in?!

gonna have to think hard about this one! supposed to be kurbing my spending - got an 80 quid paint repair coming up, aaaaaargh stop spending! LOL.

with 120bhp it should be up to speed with a GTI?

12bhp??? is that a proper claim??

if it is that is amazing

very interested indeed! will they charge the same per remap if you change engine wise? or will it be the same cost every time?

Jez, if you're interested, give JBS a call on Monday:

01246 550 400

They will be able to provide before and after dyno graphs to show the increase.

Their dyno is a state-of-the-art load based dyno, so you can be assured of deadly accurate figures.

:P

i'm saving up as we speak :)

i have the cash waiting, but i can't justify it until i offload some unused crap on ebay! you know how it is, shift some crap, make some money, spend it on the car!

How long does it take to fit? about 1/2 a day inc dynos?

i would like anyone who has it done to post up results!

josh - how much do you think it'd be for them to give the car a general tune as well (inc the chip) - cos I have idle problems and i can't for the life of me figure it out - (and i have done the temp sender!)

You'd be best calling them next week sometime.

Just to clarify, this is not a chip. It is a serial port ecu remap 8)

What does this actually mean? Do JBS reprogram the existing VW ECU? And can you revert it back to the old map if needs be, or are you stuck with the new one?

I'm tempted by this upgrade, but JBS are miles away from me :(

Would you need to do any other mods to the engine (i.e. induction kit, exahust) to get the most out of it? And will you really notice an extra 12-15bhp?

cheers

OBD II in the mk4??

no, you mean the mk5 right?

the mk4 1.4 16V only has OBD 1....

are you sure that he will do that on the mk4 polo???

I really can´t believe it.
