viewing pictures

quite often when i try to view pictures (often in DIY section) all that loads is a small whit square with a cross in it. ive tried right clickin it the choosing show picture but no help???
if anyone knows wat i need to do such as download something, itll be a great help cos its reallllllllly irritating!

the pictures have been removed from the webspace/server space.
therfore they are broken links.
