people not phoning back (vw dealers)

I ordered touch up paint for my car last week and they did all the normal things ie taking name and phone number and then they said would you like us to give you a call and let you know if it has come in or not so i said yes the day they were supposed to ring they didnt so i phoned up the next day and asked them about it they said it hadnt come in. they then said the same thing again would you like us to call and let you know if its in or not. and they didnt ring me again....its not the first time its happened as when my ariel base plate broke on my lupo the same thing happened...just really winds me up when people dont ring you back

i've had the exact same thing recently with a part for the rear wash wipe on mums 6n2. took all details and said it would need to be ordered and they would ring me when it comes in...not heard back from them

If they want my continued custom they can ring me

Guess it varies from garage to garage, or mainly just the person in parts dealing with it or who deals with the calls, mine seems to always call back to let me know about parts or call back with quotes like they say they will

Must admit, once they did not... days past and when I call, im told they cannot get the part for me

yeah extremely annoying......i rung them this morning and they said yes sir its in ready for your collection.......and they still didnt phone me. might try my other local dealer next time i want parts, i think i will buy my new car from them too.

pf, i've had stuff on order from Vauxhall garages and they've plain lost them and forgotten i ever existed.

i'm about to go back now with my receipt to prove that i paid for the ruddy things! (i'd ordered it with instruction for the stuff to be delivered as i didnt fancy making the trip all the way out just for a couple of books)... not making that mistake again - payment on delivery only!
