They go for whatever people will pay and whatever the seller is asking for basically. It fluctuates wildly!
A standard, mint low miler can go for £3-4k!
However some people get lucky and find one cheap because the seller doesn't know anything about what they're selling and just assume it's any old Polo. That's pretty rare though.
A clean, standard example with that sort of mileage could fetch £2,000, maybe more, maybe less. Depends on the seller.
I have just paid £750 for a well cared for 72,000 mile engine, charger and wiring loom... with the box I'd have paid £950. That's the usual sort of asking price.
